Following a question raised by myself in April it was announced by the Leader at the end of May that Newport City Council’s city centre Toilet Strategy would be updated and completed by the end of June. At the performance scrutiny committee meeting for Place and Corporate in July the issue was again raised as it was still not complete, and the target deadline had been missed. With a strategy still not released, and given it is a Welsh Government requirement for the strategy to be updated within a timeframe that has also been missed, can the Cabinet Member confirm exactly when residents can expect to see the updated strategy and feel comfortable about the availability of public conveniences across the city?
