Question to the Cabinet Member for Climate Change and Biodiversity : 2024/31 - Care Takers and Park Keepers Properties Minutes: Councillor Townsend asked:
Dotted around the city, in some of the parks and cemeteries are boarded up former houses belonging to caretakers and park keepers.
Some of these properties have been derelict for a long time.
Could the cabinet member outline the administration’s plans to bring the properties back into use or to sell them on?
I recognise that some may have specific legal constraints or are in a poor state of repair, but these issues should not be insurmountable.
Councillor Forsey responded:
Of the properties within parks and cemeteries, there are only two lodges boarded up.
Tredegar Park Lodge is currently being repurposed as a café and an options appraisal will be undertaken for the Lodge at Christchurch when a bat licence has been obtained. |
