Newport City Council’s
corporate plan was published in 2022 and is underpinned by our
Labour Manifesto commitments published during the preceding
election campaign.
Our vision is clearly stated at
the very outset of the corporate plan. Our vision is “To
deliver an Ambitious, Fairer and Greener Newport for everyone and
contribute towards Wales’ Well-being Goals set out in the
Well-being and Future Generations Act”.
To support the delivery of this
vision, each service area has set its own objectives and strategic
priorities, along with service plans to deliver continuous
improvement. These plans are determined by the portfolio holders
annually and are regularly reviewed by the appropriate scrutiny
committee.
