Newport City Council’s corporate plan was published in 2022 and is underpinned by our Labour Manifesto commitments published during the preceding election campaign.

Our vision is clearly stated at the very outset of the corporate plan. Our vision is “To deliver an Ambitious, Fairer and Greener Newport for everyone and contribute towards Wales’ Well-being Goals set out in the Well-being and Future Generations Act”. 

To support the delivery of this vision, each service area has set its own objectives and strategic priorities, along with service plans to deliver continuous improvement. These plans are determined by the portfolio holders annually and are regularly reviewed by the appropriate scrutiny committee.
