Can you tell me if the council plan to increase council tax rates on second homes or homes that are used as holiday lets in Newport?

The Leader responded:

There has been no consideration or subsequent decision on this issue. The incidence of second homes and furnished holiday lets within the city is very small.

The Welsh Government are currently consulting with all Local Authorities and other parties on these and other related issues regarding Council Tax. As noted above, it will have very minimal impact in Newport.
