Having so far received no answer to
the following two questions I am asking them again on a formal
basis.
Please quantify the cost to the
Council of insuring this single phone box should the Authority
agree to adopt it?
Why did you ignore my request to meet
with yourself and a member of the group wishing to donate this
defibrillator given this initiative was a health benefit to the
community and the group were asking for an opportunity to
present their case?

responded:
Through previous communications I
have outlined the Council’s position. The Council would not
insure a single phone box, therefore the liability for maintenance,
security and repairs would be the responsibility of the service
area in the Council, which we are not in a position to support.

Unfortunately, I do not believe that a face to
face meeting will have any impact on this decision. As previously
stated we would be happy to pan alternative site that the Council
currently supports (Community Centre).
